10 Things you need to know About ZODML

Zaccheus Onumba Dibiaezue Memorial Libraries – ZODML is a nongovernmental organisation that aims at providing free channels through which Nigerians can access information and learning tools to acquire knowledge. Our head library is at Awolowo road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

• ZODML is a free library

• We have set up a total of 29 libraries in Public Primary Schools in Lagos and Anambra State, Nigeria.

• Our D.E.A.R. Time initiative provides book boxes in every class, thereby giving the students access books to read every day.

• We host over 250 pupils and students in our annual Summer Holiday Programme which holds in the month of August.

• Our organization has setup mini libraries called ‘Book corners’ in 8 State Secondary Schools in Lagos State.

• Our D.E.A.R. Time project has been established in 7 State Secondary Schools both in Lagos and Anambra State, Nigeria.

• We host reading programmes for primary schools called ‘Catch Them Young’- CATHY

• We also hold reading initiatives for junior and senior secondary school students.

• ZODML has established libraries in all of Lagos and Anambra state Prisons.

• We have also established libraries in Enugu and Orji-River Prison in Enugu State, Agodi and Oyo Prison in Oyo State and Ijebu-Ode Prison in Ogun State respectively.

• Our libraries are stock with information resources that range from textbooks to reference, non-fiction and fiction materials, magazines and newspapers

 

Please stop by our Community Library at I96, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. We are open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays.
