ZODML annual summer holiday programme for the year 2016 was held from 1st of August – 31st of August 2016 at the ZODML community library. The programme took place for 5weeks, running from Mondays to Fridays with ninety seven registered students ranging from 3years to 18 years and were from different schools on the Island and Mainland. The program involved Computer Training, Reading, Drawing and puzzle and other educative games.

In the computer class, students were taught the basic computer skills and other functions. There were 48 Students that registered for the computer class and at the end of each class they were given the opportunity to practice what they learnt. There was also a questions and answer section in order to test their understanding.

For pick and read class, we had 39 registered students. In this class, students are allowed to pick their choice of book to read and summarize. This enables us to know if they truly have a good understanding of what they have read.

The drawing class had 10 registered children. The children had fun drawing things with different coloured pencils and paints.

There was also the puzzle game which was played on Fridays by all registered members. The children had fun making sense of the puzzle together.

Towards the end of the programme, the children took a test as a form of assessment of what they were taught. There was an eighty percent (80%) success recorded. The children were given certificates of attendance which make them all very happy and thankful to the library.

The children had a fun learning experience and are looking forward to the the next summer program.
