A special reading session recently held at our corporate office with pupils from Araromi Baptist Primary School and Dodan Barracks Primary School.

The pupils who were given a book titled ‘A Little Living Dinosaur’ by Peter McDonnell during their reading program in March, 2018; were curious about what they read in page 3 of the book.

“Have you ever wondered what it’s like being an Iguana?

it’s like being a dinosaur

Dinosaurs were reptiles that lived millions of years ago. The dinosaurs died out, of course.

…In a way, reptiles are like little living dinosaurs”

The pupils’ interest was piqued and they asked lots of questions about ‘Dinosaurs’. They wanted to know what a Dinosaurs looked like. So, we decided to show them the movie titled Jurassic park (1993). The movie showed different stages of Dinosaur growth.

The essence of the special reading session was as to give the pupils them a picture of what a dinosaur would have looked like if they were not extinct.

The session commenced at 10.00am and ended at 12.30pm. In attendance was the chairperson ZODML, the C.E.O, teachers and a total of 26 pupils. The children were very excited and they had a swell time.

Summary of the Movie, Jurassic Park

Paleontologists Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler and mathematician Ian Malcolm are part of a select group chosen to tour on Isla Nublar island theme park populated by genetically engineered dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, John Hammond, assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.
