The World NGO Day is a day to celebrate the immense work of NGO’s and their involvement in advancing development. It aims to inspire collaboration between different NGOs and inspire people to become more actively involved with NGOs.

Zaccheus Onumba Dibiaezue Memorial Libraries (ZODML) is an NGO with the vision of a Nigeria in which everyone has the ability to educate themselves. We achieve this by providing free channels and learning tools through the creation of libraries in public schools, prisons and communities.

To commemorate World NGO Day, ZODML had a reading session with the pupils of Army and Dodan Barracks Nursery and Primary School Obalende. Where we read; Hopeless Homer by Norman Najimy, The Little Dinosaur by Peter McDonnell and Goldilocks and Three Bears. The aim of the programme was to encourage a reading culture amongst the pupils. The pupils where quizzed after the reading session, six of them emerged as winners and were awarded prizes.

Below are the pictures from the event.
