A place to spotlight the creative talents of up-and-coming young writers.

Who Are...? by Bunmi Odeleye

"Leaders of tmro,"

We were called.

But those who were

Yesterday

Are still today.

Greedy.

Rapacious.

Myopic ones.

Who would go all the way

For term elongation.

Our kinds are ones

Encouraging our young

What they might be tomorrow.

Our kinds are ones,

In our homes,

That provide, at most

Two square meals,

Oft times, one.

But their kinds are ones

Whose young

School overseas,

Whose meals;

Sumptuous.

They seem oblivious

Of the day of reckoning...

But whoever overstays

At the grave yard,

Must surely see the ghost!
