We celebrate Adebola Oyeleye who with an OND from Lagos State Polytechnic joined ZODML in 2012 as a storekeeper and graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos (Unilag), with a second class upper B.Sc degree in Accounting. His graduation ceremony took place at Unilag on May 10, 2018.

Adebola told us that he loves numbers and does not regret studying Accounting.

On his personal experience, he said that although he was faced with some challenges during his academic pursuit, he remained focused and determined to succeed.

"Prior to my admission, I had the perception that Unilag will be easy but once I started the course I realized the reverse was the case. I had to develop a fighting spirit and study hard. One of the things that kept me strong was taking responsibility for my grades be they good or bad, it was my motivating force”, he said.

Still speaking on his motivation, he added "ZODML fueled my zeal to study Accounting by giving me the opportunity to work with just an OND certificate, making me undergo trainings and encouraging me to push myself”.

When asked how his added knowledge will make ZODML better, he said that a good accounting culture is not just relevant but crucial in any organization and he hoped to use his added knowledge to establish such a culture at ZODML.

Adebola was born in Lagos, on the 2nd of March 1986.  He attended Ladi-Lak Primary School, Gbagada Grammar School and Ajayi Crowther Memorial Senior School, all in Lagos.  He hails from Ilesa in Osun State, the land of Virtue. He has three brothers and a sister.

His demeanor is calm and he is a foodie of sorts who likes to eat ‘swallow with draw’. He loves football and is a Chelsea fan. He enjoys listening to Juju music and Nigerian Hip-hop.

His favourite quote is, 'Your talent is the key to your success and fulfilment in life, neglect it and you’ll regret it'.

He observed that this achievement, was a stepping stone for him and encouraged other ZODML staff to strive to develop themselves.

Congratulations Mr. Bola!!
