NEW Chimamanda Adichie Book: 'We Should All Be Feminists'
Fans of Nigerian writer Chimamanda Adichie have two reasons to be excited in the upcoming week. Not only has the film adaptation of her novel Half of a Yellow Sun been given the go-ahead by the National Film and Video Censors Board (it opens on August 1 across Nigeria), Adichie also has a new book coming out.
Adapted from her TEDx talk of the same name (which was famously sampled on Beyonce's song '***Flawless'), We Should All Be Feminists aims to address the meaning of feminism in the 21st century, explaining the visible and invisible markers of gender discrimination in society and the damage they cause to both men and women. Available in eBook format only for the time being, We Should All Be Feminists will be available for download from July 29. Find more details here. Want to learn more about Adichie's life and work?
