Happy birthday to Ken Kesey, American writer and author born on this day in 1935. Kesey was best known for the novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, a tale of camaraderie set in a mental hospital, which was adapted into an Oscar-winning film starring Jack Nicholson. He died on November 10, 2001.
