Poetry Corner: "The Queen of Mercy"

Submitted by admin on 6 March 2014

A place to spotlight the creative talents of up-and-coming young writers. Today, we feature a poem by Alhassan Muichtar, a participant at a recent SSRP "Meet-the-Author" session.

Let the rain come down and Wash away my tears.
Let it feel your soul and chase away your tears. Let it shadow your fears.

Even if all the existing homosapiens would want to "be like you," it will only be an intention. Because you are the "Only One of your Kind."
There is a young lad presenting an abstract "plaque of gratitude."
You are my "Numero Uno"
Alhassan Muichtar is an SS1 student at Government Senior College, Ikoyi who attended a recent 'Meet-the-Author' session as part of our Senior Secondary Reading Programme.
