The Rhythm of the Nation's Heartbeat - Video of the Day: June 19, 2013

Musician and film-maker Siji is behind the film Elder's Corner, a documentary capturing "the music, lives and times of Nigeria's pioneering musical heroes," from the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti to Fatai Rolling Dollar (whose recent death saddened Nigerians everywhere). It features interviews, archival footage of Nigeria's history and - of course - excellent music: from afrobeat to fuji. Watch the trailer for the film below:
