ZODML POETRY CHALLENGE 2023

We are at LIPFest 2023!

The Lagos International Poetry Festival (LIPFest) has a very fascinating history. The festival was born out of a desire to create a space where poets and spoken word artists could come together, share their craft, and inspire one another. Founded in 2015 by poet and spoken word artist, Efe Paul Azini, the festival has brought together some of the biggest poets, artists, thinkers, and public intellectuals to Lagos for four days of readings, performances, workshops, panel discussions and a celebration of creativity.

LipFest 2023 themed ‘Sanctuary’ is scheduled to hold from the 26th of October and end on the 29th. This year’s fest promises an intriguing blend of performances, reading, workshops, panels discussions, and a one-million-naira winner takes all poetry slam. Poets between the ages of 18-35 stand a chance to claim the Slam Prize and coveted title of LipFest2023 Slam Champion.

As always, the festival presents a line-up of outstanding poets, writers, activists, artists, thinkers, and healers invested in generating an enthralling four-day sanctuary for reflection and wellness. LipFest2023 boasts a stellar lineup of headliners, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Jericho Brown, the esteemed Bassey Ikpi, Nana Asaase (Host), and the runners up from the ZODML Poetry Challenge 2023. The top 5 finalists from the poetry challenge held earlier in the year will be live at the fest.

Say hi if you are. We would love to connect with you.
